A disease-resistant substitute for Mcintosh apples but with a slightly sharper and spicier flavour. Very refreshing and enjoyable. A wonderfully crisp and fine-grained apple with a similarily light and crisp flavour.  Bred by the New York state Agricultural Experiment Station, it is a cross of one very disease resistant apple, and one un-named variety.

Height:                              12-15’

Fruit ripening time:      Mid-Late September

Fruit flavour:

Sweet and tart. Similar to Mcintosh but slightly sharper and spicier

Why We Grow It:

This is one of the most disease-resistant apple varieties that we have found. It is excellent for no-spray home orchards. It is also a great replacement for Mcintosh apples without the disease issues.
