A PROJECT IN PROGRESS
Our "parking lot project" in partnership with C-Road church in Lyn, Ontario is pushing limits by converting an old parking lot on bedrock into a community orchard. With excavation completed; new soil imported, and most of the plants in place, our most extreme makeover to date is underway!
We know how frustrating it is to work with a "professional" who doesn't really know their profession, this parking lot project is a public-facing project that will let you see behind the scenes as we document every success (and failure) along the way!
DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT
We get to know your goals, vision, location, and resources so we can make a plan that is just right for you.
RECEIVE A DESIGN
Eden's Refuge will create a design that suits your goals, location, design preferences, and resources. You get to accept it or suggest revisions.
You can either have Eden's Refuge install the project or we can provide guidance to your team.
HOW IT WORKS
At Eden’s Refuge, we know that you want to be a municipality that uses public land wisely and leaves a lasting legacy. In order to do that, you need spaces that benefit your residents today and for decades to come. The problem is that surplus land costs money to maintain while food insecurity continues to rise; leaving you feeling stuck between budget limitations and community needs. We believe land should serve people, not drain resources. As professional edible landscape designers, we understand both the challenges of tight budgets and the responsibility of creating public spaces people love. That’s why we celebrate every community orchard that provides beauty, habitat, and fresh food for generations.
Here’s how we do it: 1. Book a consultation 2. Discuss your project and community goals 3. Eden’s Refuge creates a custom plan 4. Installation by us or by your team.
So, book your free consultation today. And in the meantime, download our guide to starting a community orchard so you can stop wasting land and instead transform it into a source of pride, food, and security for your residents.
